College Knowledge Foundation (CKF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering high school students—particularly first-generation, low-income, and minority students, as well as veterans, adult learners, and foster youth—by providing the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to succeed in their college journey. Through our comprehensive sessions and personalized services, we bridge the gap between high school and college so every student, regardless of background, can achieve their educational goals.

Position Description

As a Video and Podcast Editor Intern at College Knowledge Foundation, you will be responsible for editing both short-form video content and audio episodes of our podcast, Untapped: Knowledge for College. You’ll collaborate with the Content Creator, Podcast Coordinator, and Marketing Director to polish and finalize recorded materials that reflect CKF’s mission and voice. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for digital storytelling, technical editing skills, and a desire to help bring powerful content to life.

Responsibilities

  • Edit video content for use on social media platforms, including trimming, transitions, captions, and branding elements

  • Edit and finalize podcast episodes, including cleaning audio, adjusting levels, and adding intro/outro music or segments

  • Work with the Podcast Coordinator to ensure timely release of podcast episodes

  • Ensure all video and audio content aligns with CKF’s brand and messaging

  • Format edited content for multiple platforms (e.g., YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok)

  • Organize and archive raw and edited files in shared folders

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain consistent style, pacing, and tone across projects

  • Assist in creating teaser clips or highlight reels to promote longer content

  • Stay up to date with trends in video/audio editing and recommend creative approaches

Hours

The weekly time commitment is negotiable and flexible. Most team meetings occur in the late afternoon Eastern Time to accommodate members’ full-time jobs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with video and audio editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, GarageBand, Audacity, CapCut, Riverside

  • Ability to edit for pacing, clarity, and style while maintaining a natural tone

  • Familiarity with exporting content for social media and podcast platforms

  • Interest in media production, storytelling, or nonprofit communication

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet release deadlines
