College Knowledge Foundation (CKF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering high school students—particularly first-generation, low-income, and minority students, as well as veterans, adult learners, and foster youth—by providing the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to succeed in their college journey. Through our comprehensive sessions and personalized services, we bridge the gap between high school and college so every student, regardless of background, can achieve their educational goals.
Position Description
As a Grants Research Intern at College Knowledge Foundation, you will play an essential role in identifying grant opportunities that align with our mission and programming. You’ll help locate funding sources from foundations, corporations, and government agencies, organize grant information, and assist in building a grants calendar. Your research will support the grant writing process and help ensure that CKF has access to funding that sustains and grows our work. This position is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit development, philanthropy, research, or strategic funding.
Responsibilities
• Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and other funding institutions
• Organize and track grants by eligibility, focus area, deadline, and required materials
• Summarize grant guidelines to assist the grant writing team with preparation
• Maintain an internal grants calendar and submission tracker
• Assist in gathering information about potential funders, including mission alignment and past giving
• Collaborate with the Grant Writer Intern and Development Team Lead to prioritize opportunities
• Identify trends or gaps in available funding and suggest new areas for exploration

Hours
The weekly time commitment is negotiable and flexible. Most team meetings occur in the late afternoon Eastern Time to accommodate members’ full-time jobs.
