College Knowledge Foundation (CKF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering high school students—particularly first-generation, low-income, and minority students, as well as veterans, adult learners, and foster youth—by providing the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to succeed in their college journey. Through our comprehensive sessions and personalized services, we bridge the gap between high school and college so every student, regardless of background, can achieve their educational goals.
Position Description
As a Fundraising and Donor Engagement Intern at College Knowledge Foundation, you will support both the creative and operational sides of our fundraising strategy. You will help lead donation campaigns, draft donor communications, and assist in stewarding donor relationships throughout the year. From Giving Tuesday to new program launches, your work will help us tell the story of CKF’s impact and mobilize community support. This is an ideal role for someone interested in nonprofit development, philanthropy, or social impact communications.
Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, including campaign messaging, scheduling, and outreach
• Write compelling donor communications, including thank-you notes, campaign emails, and donation updates
• Track and organize donor information and interactions to support follow-up and ongoing engagement
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align fundraising campaigns with social media, newsletters, and visual content
• Brainstorm creative strategies to increase recurring donations and donor retention
• Support impact storytelling through visuals, testimonials, or stats that help donors understand their impact
• Help coordinate acknowledgments and appreciation efforts for donors and campaign supporters
• Track campaign performance and suggest ways to improve engagement and fundraising outcomes

Hours
The weekly time commitment is negotiable and flexible. Most team meetings occur in the late afternoon Eastern Time to accommodate members’ full-time jobs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Interest in fundraising, donor engagement, or nonprofit development
• Creative mindset with the ability to generate campaign ideas and appreciation strategies
• Comfortable working with shared documents and digital tools (Google Drive, Canva, Mailchimp, etc.)
• Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
• Enthusiastic about CKF’s mission and connecting with others to support it
