The App Image Researcher builds and maintains a high-quality visual database of school logos and campus images to support the user experience within the College Swipe mobile app.

College Knowledge Foundation (CKF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering high school students—particularly first-generation, low-income, and minority students, as well as veterans, adult learners, and foster youth—by providing the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to succeed in their college journey. Through our comprehensive sessions and personalized services, we bridge the gap between high school and college so every student, regardless of background, can achieve their educational goals.

Position Description

College Swipe is seeking a detail oriented School Image and Logo Research Intern to help build the visual foundation of the app. This individual will focus on finding, organizing, and uploading high quality school images and official school logos for every college and university in our database. The work completed in this role directly shapes how users experience school profiles within the app. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys research, can work independently, and is highly organized. Familiarity with Google Drive is important since all files will be stored, labeled, and maintained in shared drives.

Responsibilities

  • Research and locate official school logos for colleges, universities, and higher education programs

  • Identify high quality campus images such as entrance photos or recognizable campus landmarks

  • Confirm that all images meet resolution standards and follow visual guidelines

  • Upload images and logos into Google Drive using consistent naming conventions and folder structures

  • Maintain an organized image library for the development and design teams

  • Track completed schools in a shared spreadsheet to ensure accuracy and progress

  • Update outdated or missing images when necessary

  • Report issues or questions to the design or development teams

  • Verify that images are public, permissible for use, or fall within fair use guidelines

  • Work independently to meet weekly or bi weekly progress goals

Hours

The weekly time commitment is negotiable and flexible. Most team meetings occur in the late afternoon Eastern Time to accommodate members’ full-time jobs.
