The Advertising Intern develops and monitors digital advertising campaigns that promote CKF’s programs, sessions, and initiatives to targeted audiences.

College Knowledge Foundation (CKF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering high school students—particularly first-generation, low-income, and minority students, as well as veterans, adult learners, and foster youth—by providing the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to succeed in their college journey. Through our comprehensive sessions and personalized services, we bridge the gap between high school and college so every student, regardless of background, can achieve their educational goals.

Position Description

As an Advertising Intern at College Knowledge Foundation, you will support the planning and execution of advertising strategies that promote our wide range of programs, services, and content. This includes virtual webinars, in-person sessions, downloadable resources, video series, and other products we develop to support students and families. You’ll work closely with members of the marketing, content, and design teams to create and distribute engaging advertising materials across digital platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys strategy, creativity, and collaboration and is excited about helping mission-driven messages reach the right audience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing advertising campaigns for CKF’s virtual and in-person sessions, video series, downloadable content, and other offerings
• Write clear, compelling ad copy that reflects CKF’s brand and engages target audiences
• Collaborate with the graphic designer and content creator to develop creative assets for ads
• Identify key audience segments and recommend ad placement strategies for each
• Monitor ad performance and track key metrics such as impressions, reach, clicks, and conversions
• Work with the marketing team to promote major initiatives like webinars, new product launches, podcast episodes, and donation campaigns
• Help prepare ad performance reports and offer data-driven recommendations for improvement
• Explore opportunities for paid promotions, social media boosts, and possible cross-promotional partnerships
• Stay up to date with advertising best practices and trends, particularly in nonprofit and education spaces

Hours

The weekly time commitment is negotiable and flexible. Most team meetings occur in the late afternoon Eastern Time to accommodate members’ full-time jobs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in advertising, media strategy, or digital marketing
• Strong writing skills with an eye for persuasive and audience-centered messaging
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and projects
• Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) advertising tools such as Meta Ads Manager or Google Ads
• Comfortable analyzing performance data and suggesting improvements
• Creative thinker who enjoys testing new approaches and expanding visibility
