Building Your College List

Once students have a foundation from their initial search, the next step is turning possibilities into a focused, balanced list. This session walks students through the process of narrowing their options using the reach, target, and safety school framework, while going deeper on how to research schools beyond rankings and marketing materials. Students will learn how to use campus visits, both in-person and virtual, to get a real sense of a school, how to connect with admissions representatives and current students, and how to make the most of college fairs. Students will leave with a clear, organized college list and practical strategies for continuing their research.
